Simple Easter Naked Cake Recipe

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of vanilla or carrot cake mix

  • Eggs, oil, and water (as directed on the box)

  • 1 tub (or 2 cups) of whipped vanilla frosting

  • Easter sprinkles or pastel confetti

  • Bunny and flower cake toppers (DIY or store-bought)


Instructions:

  1. Bake the Layers

    • Prepare the cake mix following box instructions.

    • Divide evenly into two or three round cake pans (6" or 8").

    • Bake, then cool completely.

  2. Assemble the Cake

    • Place one cake layer on your serving plate.

    • Spread a generous layer of frosting on top.

    • Repeat with the remaining layer(s), leaving the sides mostly bare (this gives the naked cake look).

  3. Decorate the Top

    • Spread frosting on the top layer only.

    • Add pastel sprinkles or confetti.

    • Insert bunny toppers and paper flowers just like in the photo.


🎂 Tip: You can make the bunny toppers using printed clipart on cardstock, toothpicks, and a bit of tape—super easy and kid-friendly!
